ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Alex, a writer, designer, photographer, and videographer.
I received a master’s in journalism from the University of Missouri in 2016 and a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2014.
In undergrad, I was executive editor of the campus newspaper where I learned skills that propelled me into the first and arguably best journalism school in the world, where I pursued my master’s.
I currently work full-time as the Communication Content Specialist for Battle Ground Academy, a K-12 private school in Franklin, TN. It’s a great and uplifting place where I am able to use my skills to help tell the story of BGA and its students. I also continue to do limited freelance work as a videographer, photographer, and graphic/web designer. I love keeping my skills sharp by engaging in an array of new projects to help others tell their story effectively.
In this space is where I write the truths of my life in a longer form than on social media. I have loved writing for a very long time, and it is a large part of my healing and catharsis over the years. I hope you can find a word or two that helps you too. 🖤
